Elliott Kennerson
Elliott Kennerson is a San Diego-born writer, editor, and producer who specializes in post production. He is the recipient of three Regional Emmys for his work on Deep Look, a co-production of KQED and PBS Digital Studios, and the originator of Animal R&R, an Emmy-nominated wildlife rescue series for KPBS San Diego. As the post-production supervisor at Day’s Edge Productions, he worked on San Diego: America Wildest City for the long-running PBS series Nature, and two seasons of Human Footprint, a six-part PBS national series. His first independent film, Love Birds (co-directed with Angel Morris), earned 30 festival selections in 2025-2026 and won 9 awards, including the Editing award at Jackson Wild, the Oscar-qualifying Best Short Doc at the St. Louis IFF, and the Prix de Jury at the Féstival International du Film Ornithologique in Ménigoute, France. Elliott received his M.F.A. in natural history filmmaking from Montana State University and holds a B.A. from Yale in archaeology. He lives with his partner Matt and their dog, Magnolia.
